The White Tiger

52x42in
Acrylic on canvas
Toronto Canada

The brief from the client was simple yet captivating: a large painting of a white tiger with striking blue eyes. I introduced water as a medium to let the acrylics flow and interact with the surface in unpredictable ways.

The result is a dynamic, fluid composition where the paint seems to move almost as if alive, with colors bleeding and merging organically. The tiger’s fur is rendered with this flowing technique, giving it a soft, ethereal quality, as though it's emerging from the depths of the canvas itself. The white tiger, in all its majesty, appears to shift between solidity and transparency, embodying a sense of mystery and power. The blue eyes of the tiger are a focal point, rendered in sharp contrast to the fluidity of the rest of the image, their piercing gaze captivating and almost otherworldly.

My signature approach of incorporating water allows the viewer to feel the tension between control and chaos in the artwork. The movement of the paint emphasizes the raw energy of the tiger, as if it’s in mid-pounce or frozen in a moment of intense focus.
